OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE

The HELO Club is a welcoming social club and charitable organization dedicated to promoting fellowship among new and current residents and retirees of the Greater Lansing areas. Our activities help members become acquainted with each other and the area. A vibrant community awaits, ready to ignite passions and foster connections!

In addition, our philanthropic efforts contribute to local non-profit, non-religious, non-political charities. The Club may undertake and complete one or more humanitarian or social welfare projects each year. At least ten percent (10%) of each member’s dues are specifically earmarked for charitable giving.

Public & Charitable Engagement

The HELO Club was established in 1961. We organize social events, including monthly luncheons, where networking is encouraged. Members engage in social and philanthropic endeavors within our communities.

As of July 2025 HELO Club is supporting 'Haven House' as our charity for the upcoming year. Their website: https://havenhouseel.org

Group Activities & How To Join

In order to enrich our lives and strengthen our relationships, we join activity groups such as book clubs, golfing, card games, coffee group, fiber arts, euchre club, bunco, mah jongg, supper club, bridge club, walkers & strollers, day trips, theater, movie groups, wine tasting, garden group and more.

If you are new to the area, are a recent retiree, have recently experienced a life changing event, or have relocated back to the area or looking for a group to form friendships and share common interests, consider joining us!

Monthly Luncheons

Monthly Membership Meetings

HELO Club luncheons occur in the months of September, October and December through June. The luncheons are held at local restaurants and banquet venues. The luncheon agenda includes social time, the introduction of new members and guests, a presentation by a guest speaker or a professional entertainer, a raffle for our sponsored charity and a member free lunch drawing. Each luncheon concludes with club business and announcements. The luncheons are a great opportunity to connect with friends, meet new members and discover interesting lives and topics. Some luncheons are served with a fun theme!
