About Us
OUR MISSION AND PURPOSE
The HELO Club is a welcoming social club/ organization dedicated to promoting fellowship among new and current residents and retirees of Haslett, East Lansing, Okemos and surrounding Greater Lansing areas. Our activities help members become acquainted with each other and the area. In addition, our philanthropic efforts contribute to local non-profit, non-religious, non-political charities. The Club may undertake and complete one or more humanitarian or social welfare projects each year. At least ten percent (10%) of each member’s dues will be specifically earmarked for charitable giving.

Public & Charitable Engagement
The HELO Club was established in 1961. We organize social events, including monthly luncheons, where networking is encouraged. Members engage in social and philanthropic endeavors within our communities.
As of July 2024 HELO Club is supporting 'Haven House' as our charity for the upcoming year. Their website: https://havenhouseel.org
Interests
In order to enrich our lives and strengthen our relationships, we join interest groups such as book clubs, golfing, card games, supper club, walkers & strollers, bowling, day trips, theater, and more. Details are under 'Downloads.'
If you are new to the area, are a recent retiree, have recently experienced a life changing event, or have relocated back to the area and are looking for a group to form friendships and share common interests, consider joining us! The membership form is under 'Downloads.'

Monthly Luncheons
On May 20, our luncheon will be held at The Hidden Gem in Holt. If you’re interested in attending the luncheon as a guest, send a message at the ‘Contact Us’ section below. A HELO club member must sponsor you prior to processing your registration. Payment can then be made by a check or by paying online using OMELLA (see attachment below for instructions).
