This year, she is excited to take on her first leadership role as secretary, where she aims to promote friendship, fun and activities for members to enjoy.

Outside the club, Sue has a deep passion for downhill skiing that has spanned over fifty years. Although her love for the sport was abruptly interrupted at age 53 after an accident, she didn’t let it keep her down for long.  After a few years of rehabilitation, a friend introduced her to adaptive skiing.  Sue quickly picked up bike skiing and within five years was flying down the slopes at 30 MPH.  Now, every year, she heads to Colorado for three to four weeks of skiing, a testament to her resilience and love for the slopes.

Sue is also interested in the Fiber Arts group within the HELO Club and looks forward to new friendships and exploring ways to get more involved.
